What is stated on my demand letter?
Your demand letter states the outstanding amount, the case number, the name of the original creditor and the final payment date. No longer have the demand letter to hand? Get in touch with us and we will send you the details again.
How do I know if my payment has been received?
After payment, it can take 1 to 3 working days before it is processed in our system. Not sure whether the payment has arrived? Get in touch with your case number and proof of payment to hand.
What happens if I do not pay?
If we do not receive payment or a response, we may take further steps. This includes increasing the costs with interest and demand letter costs, or transferring the case to a court bailiff. We advise you to get in touch in good time, so that we keep the costs as low as possible.
I do not agree with the claim. What can I do?
That can happen. Then get in touch with us as soon as possible and explain your objection. We will put the objection to the client and look for a solution together. You can also make use of our official complaints procedure.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, in many cases a payment arrangement is possible. Get in touch with us to discuss the options. We will look together for an arrangement that suits your situation.
Who am I actually paying?
You pay Breyta Incassopartner, who acts on behalf of the original creditor. The amount paid is passed on to the party that submitted the claim to us (after deduction of the collection costs).
What are the collection costs and who pays them?
The collection costs are set by law and in principle are borne by the debtor. The amount depends on the outstanding sum. The exact total amount including costs is stated on the demand letter.
